I have been working with people in their most vulnerable moments for over 13 years.
I am extremely passionate about my work and have spent many years working with trauma and complex mental health.
I qualified as a Counsellor in 2021 and in that time have worked for Motherwell in Cheshire, providing therapy to mums, I’ve worked for RASASC providing trauma-informed counselling to sexual abuse survivors, and alongside these roles I have also worked out of a private clinic in Sandbach.
I have recently been fortunate to open my own therapy centre with an aim to be able to support the community as best I can.
Prior to my work as a therapist, I have worked in nurseries, in hospitals, for Women’s Aid, and I spent several years working in the community with young care leaver parents (young parents who had been in foster care or children’s homes), providing trauma-informed support and advocacy.
I am a mum to 3 children ages 10-15, with lived experience of being a single parent – this gives me a unique perspective of blending both personal experience and professional expertise.
I am of the belief that we can all learn to deal with traumatic/difficult experiences and find our own sense of purpose and meaning; for this reason I would categorise myself as a ‘existential’ therapist.
I provide 1-1 therapy and therapeutic workshops for small groups, with a focus on supporting parents – particularly those who’ve experienced childhood trauma, pregnancy or infant loss, birth trauma or domestic abuse.
The therapy centre I run is in Middlewich, within easy reach of Sandbach, Crewe, Alsager, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington, Holmes Chapel and Northwich.
